If you wonder what you would do in a life threating confrontation you should take this class. You will be surprised at what you thought you would do in your mind compared to what you actually do under pressure. Anyone who carries should take this class. It may save your life or at least keep you out of prison. |

I just had two great hours of instruction with Pat. As a beginning shooter, I was very impressed with his focus on safety above all else. We throughly discussed several key safety concepts before he even had me pick up a gun. We then went through fundamentals of shooting step by step, focusing on everything from basic sight picture to optimal body positioning, wrapping up with some fun drills on clearing different failures. All in all a great session and I look forward to taking more classes with CTIA. |

Training on an ongoing basis is the key to developing skill and being prepared. The courses provided by Counterterrorism Institute of America provide the opportunity. I've trained in numerous courses offered by CTI and have always been impressed with the skill of the instructors and the results of the course. The newly added training venues will only help to expand what we can learn.
The instructors and training help to develop your competency with weapon systems and the mindset to be effective. Training is the key. Thank you CTI for offering this level of training along the Wasatch Front. |

I can't even fully explain how much I learned from this course. I normally go good ol target shooting with buddies. This class changed my entire view on how I handle my firearm. With potential life saving tactics the instructor Pat gave personal feedback as to what we were doing right, and wrong. Because of that I've been able to practice right, and break many bad habbits. I without a doubt will taking more classes, and recomened this class to everyone. |

I did the morning defensive handgun course and wanted to tell you how great it was. I learned a lot and felt the instructors did a great job pushing everyone on their individual level. I will take more classes and further prepare myself. Your organization is an asset to freedom and to our community. Thanks again. |

Great class! As a PSO this is great information to have for anyone not just professionals in the field. The straight forwardness of the instructor, and realism of the situations was great. You can't get this kind of training anywhere else, and I highly recomended this class for anyone. |

I had an awesome time. I learned alot. The instructors were pleasant, knowledgeable and treated us like capable adults. I appreciate the fact we are able to carry loaded guns on the range without the kindergarten baby sitting approach. The instructors love what they do, and they passed on that enthusiasm throughout the day. I feel much more comfortable with my shotgun in a defensive situation.
I am already looking forward to registering for several handgun courses. as soon as I nurse my aching muscles :) The lunch was excellent, the content wonderful, and I felt it was a great balance of instruction and shooting.
I was very impressed and will have no worries about spending 200-500 dollars on future courses.
Thanks for the great time. |

My wife and I attended this class instructed by Vance Loertscher. We had a great time and learned a lot. The class covered things I had never done before like clearing malfunctions, shooting using cover and shooting while moving. I believe this class gave us a solid foundation to build our shooting skills on. I'm glad we took it and would recommend this class to people looking to improve their basic handgun skills.

Excellent and very informative. I work in law enforcement and I have yet to see such excellent training on gun safety and overall, how to handle and proper care. Not to mention the class instructor' (Dennis) overall knowledge and ability to answer any question and apply it so everyone is able to understand. The class was very professional. I would definitely recommend taking your concealed weapons permit class from Dennis Kennedy and continuing your education with skilled training through the Counterterrorism Institute Of America. |

I recently completed the Shotgun / Handgun class taught by Pat Burden. This is the third class I have taken from CTIA, all of them have been excellent. Pat made the class fun while constantly emphasizing safety and good range “control”. When I started the day, I was fumbling my way around my shotgun, dropping loaded shells at my feet and missing the safety (why won’t the damn thing go off? Duh!) Through coaching and repetition, by the end of the day I was feeling much more confident in handling my shotgun, selecting different loads on the run and knowing how different loads were going to pattern at different distances. I came away with some great drills I can practice on my own and some good ideas on how to set up my shotgun for effective deployment. Anyone who keeps a “gage” around for defense NEEDS to take this class – it may save your life. |
